There is no such thing as a free and drug free country. The US government does not have the right to "protect the people from themselves." It is a basic human right to be able to freely choose what you put into your body and it is not okay for the government to make that decision for us. Cigarettes kill nearly as many people as Germany did during the holocaust. We are suffering from a yearly genocide due to cigarettes yet they aren't illegal. Anything in this world could kill you but that doesn't give the government the right to make it illegal. How are we supposed to be one nation if recreational use is legal in some states yet in others people are being sent to prison for the same action. Give people back their rights. Legalize the recreational and medical use of marijuana now.
