Legalize, regulate and tax all types of gambling by taking wages on all major sports on a website run by the us treasury

The United States government should legalize, tax and regulate all forms of gambling in the United States. This includes poker sites, horse racing and accepting wagers on all sports played in the United States and abroad. There are many internet sites that accept these types of bets and are making billions every year. This is illegal in the United States but millions of US citizens utilize these sites to gamble reguardless of the law. If this activity is controlled and taxed by the Federal Government the money that can be made in the first five years of this program will be in the billions. People are going to gamble even if it is illegal, immoral ect. It is time the government gets in on it as the money this program will generate within the first 3 years will be astounding.
