Marijuana has no negative side effects, and countless medicinal benefits. The argument that it is a "gate way drug" is the same as saying milk was a "gate way" drink for alcohol. The only reason that Marijuana funds cartels, is because it is illigal, if marijuana was legal, then this billions of dollars a year cash crop could be regulated and most importantly taxed. The DEA could stop spending the majority of its budget and repurpose the money towards the actual drugs that harm and should be illegal.
