Legalize, regulate, and tax marijuana at the federal level.

Created by C.B. on March 05, 2013

1. Prohibition has failed to control the use and production of marijuana

Marijuana is used by over 30 million people annually and the largest cash crop in the U.S.

2. A regulated, legal market in marijuana would save our youth

The illegality of weed makes it more valuable than if it were legal. Cheaper, legalized marijuana would leave drug dealers unemployed.

3. Legal marijuana would stop the flow of money from the US to international gangs

Weed’s illegality makes foreign gangs even stronger and makes smuggling into the US very profitable.

4. Marijuana is not a lethal drug and is safer than alcohol

Marijuana is not toxic. Overdosing is impossible.

5. Taxing marijuana will help the economy

Revenue would surpass any other product sold in U.S.

6. Has positive medicinal attributes
