Legalize, regulate, tax and reschedule Cannabis

Created by M.G. on February 28, 2013

There is an overwhelming lack of evidence that marijuana is a dangerous drug . Thousands of otherwise peaceful, law abiding citizens are arrested each year for simple possession of marijuana, which is a victimless crime, at an enormous cost to our society. Our prisons are over crowded, and our economy is struggling to keep up with the war on drugs, while more serious crimes are overlooked. The regulated growth, sales, and or use of marijuana, to this date, has never caused a marijuana related death. Prohibition failed in the 1920s, and is still failing. American consumers are not going to stop using cannabis because of the legality of it. Many people use it as a safer medical alternative over prescription drugs, because most prescription drugs have serious side effects and risks.
