Regulated prostitution should be legal and taxable. Most of Eastern Australia has legalized it, and there have been no spikes in STD's. Workers (as well as customers) would be regularly checked for diseases, and the process would be monitored to keep the worker safe. This would take prostitutes off of our streets, out of the sight of our children, and would generate a (probably quite large) profit in taxes for the U.S economy.
