Marijuana was one of the main cash crops when the settlers came to North America. It has always been in our history and admittedly used by several Presidents and political officials.
Marijuana has been knocked way out of proportion and is defiantly not as bad as other legal things in the United States. Alcohol and cigarettes have much more negative effects on someones body and others around them, yet they are both legal and sold. If marijuana became legalized it would create a better economy by lowering court loads for our justice system and it would cause many new businesses to be created. Also, the government could regulate it and tax it how they like, to bring in way more money, just like cigarettes.
So, please legalize it, it is really not as bad as everyone thinks it is.
