With banning same-sex marriage not everyone gets their “pursuit of happiness” and are not equally protected under the law according to the 14th amendment. It’s not fair to those who are attracted to people of the same sex to have their rights restricted while those who are attracted to people of the opposite sex are granted greater freedoms. Not everyone agrees with homosexuality, which they are entitled to their own opinion, but people should accept one for who they are and be tolerant of others. I believe that in order for us to be equally protected same sex marriage should be allowed, everyone has their own opinion, but shouldn’t we all have equal rights?
