The 14th Amendment states "no state shall ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." Yet only 9 states have legal same-sex marriage. We ask that the United States government repeal all laws prohibiting same-sex marriage as they are unconstitutional and do not treat all Americans as equals.
The ability to love is not limited. Whether we want to be with someone of a different nationality or religion does not matter. Neither should if we want to be with someone of the same gender.
