Now is the time to legalize same-sex marriage on the national level. A majority of Americans support marriage equality, as does our president. Every couple should be able to legally cement their love and reap the legal benefits of marriage. Denying anyone's right to marry based on who they are and something they can't change is discriminatory. This discrimination needs to stop. Please nationally define marriage through legislation as a union between two people regardless of gender and make it mandatory for states to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples.
