Only 17 states allow same-sex marriage so far. If two people love each other, they should be allowed to be legally married regardless of gender. Many gay and lesbian couples have been together for twenty or more years, yet are still not allowed to be married. Gays are not "evil" or "against the truth"; they are still human beings like the rest of us. When asked, many people state same-sex marriage is just "wrong" or "bad", with little or no valid reason. Some say being gay is "against nature", as if it is something new or invented; it is not, and has been around for millennia, and can be considered part of nature, in fact. This petition also includes changing the official definition of the word marriage in the dictionaries.
