This is a petition for the legalization of the cannabis plant. It has for years been made out to be little more than a weed that produces a psychoactive substance. However this plant could be used as an incredibly useful resource in this new green age we seem to be headed for. The fibers of the plant are incredibly strong and can be used to make a variety of clean sustainable high quality products. Including car bodies, paper, cloths, plastics, concrete and chip board. The seeds of this plant contain many nutritious compounds and could be made into many food products. This plant can be grown world wide and can be grown organically quite easily. In addition it can be used to make fuel. Hemp is a non psychoactive variety of this plant
