A petition to legalize Turnpike Double Trailer (two 48", two 53" or one 53" and one 48" trailer behind one semi-truck) combinations & Rocky Mountain Double semi-trailer (one 48" or 53" trailer and one 28" trailer behind one semi-truck) combinations on highways and turnpikes nationwide, to save money on fuel costs, reduce consumer product prices, and to put less trucks on the road, for less air pollution. (Triple Trailer combinations, of three 28' trailers behind one semi-truck was not included in this petition due to fear of trailer sway issues) These Longer Combination Vehicles (or LCVs) would have to drop one trailer before leaving the main highways and turnpikes.
