Ibogaine is a naturally occurring substance found in plants in the Apocynaceae family such as Tabernanthe iboga, Voacanga africana and Tabernaemontana undulate. It's used in countries (legally) such as Canada and Australia for its benefit in curing addicts, of almost any kind.
Unfortunately drug companies use lobbyist to keep this drug from being legalized mainly for the fact they would loose money if this drug indeed was legalized here in the U.S.
Ibogaine has the potential to save lives by curing addiction and providing an extremely cost efficient means of treatment.
