Legalize the use of marijuana for general use. Tax it and use the taxes to eliminate US debt. Tax it at 10% of cost.

Marijuana should be legalized in all states and U. S. Territories. We the people feel that legalizing marijuana would take the profits out of the hands of dealers and the taxes on it (at 10%) would be more than sufficient to cut down the National Debt Crisis this country is facing. According to http://www.treasurydirect.gov/ the current debt is at 16,045,515,411,416.83. If marijuana was legalized (not just for medical purposes) for general use it would be more closely monitored and controlled. Each dispensary would be required to pay taxes on the profits and the people who currently use marijuana UNDER THE TABLE would be able to get the same quality from the dispensaries, more jobs would be created, the government would have control over the growth process by hiring growers.
