Right now marijuana is legal in some form in 26 states and the DC area. However, recreational use is only legal in 5 states. This should be changed to all 50 states as it would help lower crime rates and at the same time help give a boost to the economy as it would be extremely popular. For example in Colorado, marijuana sales totaled nearly 1 billion dollars in sales and added a total of 135 million in taxes. Five years this amount would have been $0.
