The time has come. The world is starting to shed a new light on the schedule 3 "drug" marijuana. It is time that the U.s. Government look at the facts about this plant as a medicine and a safer alternative to both tobacco and alcohol. It is time that the government declassifie it as a schedule 3 drug, and legalize and acknowledge the states and territories right to legalize weed by referendum for both medical and recreational use.
The federal government should establish a committee of experts to make laws regulating the sale, growth capability, taxation, legal age, legal amount and all other matters. It shall have a federal tax of 10% on top of any state tax and the tax revenue will go towards research, education, and law enforcement.
