Legally bind the Retirement Age used for Social Security Benefits to the Average Life Expectancy.

Created by S.G. on February 02, 2013

It is time to legally link the legislation used to allocate Social Security benefits to the Average Life Expectancy of each generation of Americans. The legal age to begin benefits has been held constant as Americans have achieved longer life spans, causing stress on a financial system that it was not meant to handle.

Now young Americans can see that the Social Security benefits they are paying for, through taxes, will fail before they reach the age of retirement. We can reduce the deterioration of the system in a fair way by simply linking the retirement age and life expectancy.

Eventually this fix will have to be made. We can make historic progress now before the system is further weakened.
