An uniformed, panicked public should not be deciding how we respond to a potential global pandemic.
The domain experts at the WHO, CDC, and MSF specialize in this specific issue. Please follow their guidance, not public polling of people that have no idea what they are talking about -- even if they have strong beliefs in their ignorance.
(I'll set aside the sad parallel to climate change for now, but only because this one could kill us before the other one does.)
The world has a half dozen or so organizations created solely for the purpose of dealing with disease pandemics. This is the reason we created them. Don't let polls make this worse.
