RIGHT NOW, the mentally ill are not allowed to legally purchase guns in the United States, but people who have openly declared their belief in violent jihad against innocent civilians, like the San Bernardino terrorists did, are allowed to legally purchase guns, because they are not currently defined under the law as being mentally ill and a danger to others.
The U.S. government should define a belief in violent jihad against innocent civilians as a form of mental illness.
Specifically, I petition our federal and state governments to enact legislation which legally defines ANY PERSON who publicly promotes or declares a belief in violent attacks against innocent civilians as mentally ill and a danger to others, making it illegal for them to purchase, to possess, or to handle guns.
