Legislate against discrimination based on an individual's "bougie lifestyle choices" (namely veg[etari]anism).

Created by I.M. on February 25, 2013

On 24 Feb. 2013, Jessica Chastain's performance in Zero Dark Thirty (and by extension Chastain, who is vegan, herself) was brutishly snubbed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. But this is just the latest manifestation of America's systemic discrimination against vegans and vegetarians.

It's time for Obama to amend his cutesy lil' triptych (to a quartych?): from Seneca to Selma to Stonewall ... to Zero Dark Thirty. Because alliteration is an outmoded concept. Or: from Milk to no milk.

It's time for America to to the right thing. Like it always has. Like it did when it killed Osama. "USA! USA! USA!" indeed.

(A hearty thanks to mfellz for working so hard to propel the phrase "bougie lifestyle choices" into the lamestream.)
