Police have been entrusted with the highest honor and duty; it is their obligation to exemplify legal behavior. The requisite punishment for proven criminal behavior from police must be greater than that for an ordinary citizen. This increase in punishment stems not from greater culpability, but from a dissuading affect on other officers, in order to make up from what is an apparent and widespread lack of enforcement. It is this petition's position that an officer of the law, at any level of government, whom is proven to have committed a criminal violation, shall be subject to punitive action at least four-times that of an ordinary citizen. Convictions for violent crimes and those of moral turpitude shall result in a lifelong ban from law enforcement as well as 4x sentencing.
