Legislate Personal Accountability in regards to Firearms Ownership

Created by C.R. on March 18, 2013

Everyday the fight looms on between gun rights activists and the infamous "they" that seek to take our guns away. There is no need to take any firearms away from responsible gun owners. As each firearms catastropy occurs in schools and townships some seek to blame the guns while others blame the user. What happens when the shooter is a kid, or an ex-con, or someone with a mental disability. I say blame the legally responsible owner, harshly. A dealer who fails to preform a background check or register the sale to me should be just as responsible for what I do with it. Once it is mine it under my control. Who shoots is my responsibility and my sentence to bear. If I give it away, I am responsible until I register the new owner. Enforce personal accountability and leave the guns out of it.
