For the protection of consumers and lenders alike, reform of the present lending and credit laws need to be re-evaluated.
It is clear easy credit is only good for those that sell products. When buying a product and paying back two to three times the borrowed amount, "being taken advantaged of" might be an under statement. If you can not afford it today, lets face it, you can not afford it tomorrow at two or three times the original price.
Spending more than one earns, hurts everyone. Laws should require a down payment for any credit contract/transaction, between the lender and borrower. Each loan should be evaluated as to income and other debt. Caps for the borrower and lender need to be in place.
The free market, supply and demand, should benefit as well from such a restructure
