Less-Than-Lethal alternatives for Police.

I petition that all regular Police Officers and Deputy Sheriffs have lethal weapons removed from their “Duty” Tools, and have them replaced with less than lethal alternatives, which still conform to self-defense needs, until proper judgment can be shown by police officers as pertaining to the use of deadly force against citizens. I suggest proper training and proper officer selection be emphasized, and in most cases revamped, in an effort to decrease the rate of citizens being killed by “Peace” Officers. It’s time we as a country take control of the over-use of Police authority, and stop accepting excuses for lethal action taken towards our citizens. No one said being a police officer was without danger; the “I feared for my life” excuse is running thin.
