In this day and age it almost a trap to go to college. You can spend up to and above hundreds of thousands of dollars simply for a piece of paper; a piece of paper that makes you "qualified" for better careers. "Lower interest rates" make very little difference and still leave many unable to finish their education. Scholarships and grants only help so many people, but so many are still left in the dust. It should not be such a struggle for so many people along with their families to simply get an education. The cost needs to be lowered.
