In a report issued on June 13, 2011 it is estimated that implementing a five-day delivery would save $3.1 billion annually. Decrease the number of days to 4. As of now the United States Postal service has proposed taking saturday delivery away from street addresses. I propose taking saturday, and thursday out of the delivery schedule to street addresses. Allow for post offices to still be open on these days and collection of mail from the blue outside mail boxes. This could save billions more dolars every year.
