Just because a person has a file on their computer, doesn't mean they are distributing it.
Current jail sentences for people who either have copyrighted content (movies, music) or illegal pornographic material (child porn, bestiality, etc) can face at least ten years.
To put that in perspective, in this nation there are armed robbers, rapists, and murderers who've gotten far less. (Especially robbers and rapists.) This includes people who have touched children inappropriately.
This is basically saying it's worse to download a movie or look at an inappropriate picture or video than it is to actually go out and harm someone.
This petition is for probation (and rehabilitation for those guilty of porn) to be the go to sentence - not waste their lives in jail while the worst are free to go
