In the event that any current or future state in the United States of America successfully secedes from the Union, we petition for all public institutes of higher learning that have their own zip code(s) to remain a part of the United States. This includes colleges, universities, trade schools, etc. that rely on federal funding and resources to educate students.
This will allow all current and future students as such an institution to keep their American citizenship without having to relocate schools at their own expense, and would keep such institutions from being penalized by the decisions of their state government.
