Let the American people vote on an assault weapons ban.

As an American citizen it is appalling that we have to hear about a mass murder at least once a week. Politicians are scared to do anything about banning assault weapons so we the people should be allowed to vote on it. This country was built by the people so we the people need to be allowed to make our decisions when our elected leaders are not competent enough to do so. Our second amendment right is not being infringed upon if the people don't want these weapons on the street. Let's take action ourselves and vote.
