Let the Confederacy to secede from the Union for the greater good for the rest of the states.

Here in New York and many states around us we pay a fair share of taxes to the Federal Government. We (being significantly liberal) send alot of our money to the government, most of it going unseen. Now for a long time 'progressive' governments are considered 'fiscally irresponsible' yet, out fiscal house more in order than the southern conservative states, which still offer there citizens some of the same social programs, bleed money from the union and rack up huge debts on our dime. So if the southern states want to secede, let them! The cancer will finally be cut off.
