The Child Tax Credit automatically goes to the parent who makes more money. Those of us with shared custody earning less money than their ex-spouses receive NO benefit from the government for housing, clothing, feeding, and raising a child in a safe and loving environment. Please change the laws so the IRS will allow parents with joint custody to share the benefit of this important tax relief.
