Let government shut down on December 10, 2016, unless the Senate agrees to consider Judge Garland's appointment

The Senate has refused to consider the appointment of Judge Garland by President Obama, and has therefore failed in its Constitutional duty. This failure has unduly affected the Court and could have repercussions for a generation. The Senate must act, or it will give greater power to the next president which was not intended by the framers of our Constitution. The president should inform the Senate now that he does not intend to sign a Continuing Budget Resolution, when the current resolution expires on December 9th, unless the Senate agrees to take up Judge Garland's nomination in a timely manner before President Obama's term ends on January 20, 2017.
