The Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Reservation are rated in the ten poorest and unemployed Indian Nations in the USA. The only plants that will grow on their land are weeds. Industrial Hemp is a weed. This country imports thousands of tons of Industrial Hemp from Canada. Industrial Hemp has no THC, the intoxicating element. George Washington grew Hemp as did many farmers in the 17th & early 19th c. For years the DEA has destroyed Hemp on Lakota land. Growing Industrial Hemp would create jobs and bring in much needed income for the Lakota people. Get the Drug Enforcement Agency off the backs of the Lakota Nation.
