The immigration policies are created to avoid illegal immigrants obtaining jobs that American citizens could get. But I believe that an international student with great grades could help the country move forward. A foreign student with a high GPA should be able to apply for a green-card, or the green card lottery no matter what's his country of residence. This could help the US by allowing A+ students use their intelligence and skills to help the country move forward.
