Law abiding citizens, especially ones with firearm permits have been, or will not object to fingerprinting. Background checks have been done, or would be submitted to. Criminals and those who would choose to use a firearm for illegal purposes would not want to be fingerprinted or have a background check done. Assault style weapons being considered for banning are Semi-Automatic. Fully automatic weopens ALREADY require stringent background checks, and the average gun owner does not or can not qualify. Leave the gun laws as they are. Work with the lawful gun owners of america to educate the citizens and children of our nation to RESPECT our guns, respect the right to own them and use them to protect our selves and other law abiding citizens.
