Now is not a good time for the United States to engage in aggressive rhetoric or action in the localized conflict in Ukraine. We should support the ability of Ukraine to be independent, but allow the European Union countries to take the lead in the support efforts as we are wearied by endless overstepping of our military reach and endless war footing. This conflict would be best served as a model for UN peacekeepers, with political pressure from the United States.
