Just think, if New Orleans became a separate state, Lafayette would be a great place for another NFL team.
Louisiana tax dollars would no longer go to Orleans parish, and the northern/western parishes would be happy. All the new state prison inmates would stay in Orleans parish prisons and take the load off of Angola.
