Our military posted outside of military installations are prime targets and sitting ducks with being disallowed by law from carrying weapons. We trust them with the defense of our nation and with billions of dollars of American assets; why would we think they could not be trusted to carry a firearm for personal defense and defense of their coworkers? At least one properly trained military member posted at these locations should be armed with a sidearm and charged with the defense of all persons working at the site. Let these military members have an opportunity to defend themselves and amend the law preventing firearms on federal property to allow for this defense provision.
