For many years, many app stores give the opportunity for people to download millions of apps for free, but for some reason, people aren't curious about who actually owns these apps. With this petition, we'll be asking the government to make every company make their developers, included but not limited in Google Play Store, Apple's App Store, Amazon Appstore, Windows Store, Galaxy Apps and Blackberry World, to tell who their parent company is. For example, If you go to any app store and search for Instagram, it will say the app is own by Instagram, but in reality, it is own by Facebook. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but many people don't know that a simple app like Groupme, is actually owned by Skype, which is owned by Windows. This could be the first step to clarity and more privacy.
