The people of the United States should have the final say in the laws of the country we all live in, and how those laws are interpreted. Therefore, the Supreme Court justices should be elected instead of appointed. It would give all Americans a chance to have a true people's court instead of 1 man or 1 party's court.
A Constitutional Amendment should be proposed to elect a Supreme Court Justice to a single 10-year term by popular vote. Also, the member who has been on the court the longest will be the Chief Justice. This will keep a fresh outlook on our evolving society and keep the court from getting too complacent.
