The national purge is when every law is legal. It only happens once an year for 12 hrs. This petition just say that we want the purge. The day when it is going to happen is not exact. The purge can be used for good reasons. Like for example: you can rob an bank an get money to get surgery for you child but you won't "rob" the bank because on purge everything is legal.
