Every single person has the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". The Romeikes are being denied these rights in their own country and have come here for asylum. Home schooling is a freedom that we as Americans enjoy. If the Romeikes are deported, our government is sending a clear message that they do not believe home schooling is a right. Whether you educate as a religious liberty or a social liberty, if they are deported, your government is saying you have no right to educate your own children how you see fit. This petition is two fold, to ask the President to let the Romeikes stay and to tell us as Americans that we do have the right to educate our own children.
