The South has been trying to secede for the last 180 years. Since 2012 all 11 southern states have submitted petitions to the White House, with over 100,000 signatories for the secession of Texas alone. The United States is split down the middle, each side contending opposite views on central issues. If the South was allowed to secede quality of life would be improved and rights expanded for both parties— the founding principal of the United States.
