Ted Cruz. Todd Akin. Allen West. Rick Perry. What do these people have in common? Aside from all being insane and a cancer on our government, they are all from the South. For the longest time, the South has held America back from progressing. For over a century, they have created a strong resistance against universal healthcare, worker's rights, women's rights, LGBT rights, voting rights, and human rights in general. It is obvious that many of them still want to secede. And I, and probably many others say let them secede. We don't need them.
If Abraham Lincoln knew what the South would do to America 150 years later he would let them be. We would be happier, and the South would be happier.
