Let a State secede on a temporary basis to see what the ramifications are. Since so many red states don't like the Federal Government, let's let, say Alabama, go rogue. No Social Security, no Medicare, no Federal help at all. Block off all Federally funded highways and make them get passports. If anyone doesn't like our representative form of democracy, let one give it a try on their own.
