Seriously, they want to leave, so let them. I mean, for god's sake -- we settled this by force, and they lost, and they whined then and they're whining now and I'm starting to feel like we made a terrible mistake.
So let them go. Cut them off. They're practically all 'taker' states anyway, receiving more from the fed than they pay in, so let them go. Let them take their bibles and their tiny, narrow minds and we'll keep the universities, the ports, the technology economy, the money, and the decent weather.
