Let the Syrians duke it out on their own. We already have enough problems, and enough military lives on the line.

Created by P.B. on August 27, 2013

The civil war in Syria, a "problem from hell" as Peter Bergen called it, is none of our concern. The rebels are supported by Al-Qaeda, and the Assad regime by Russia, Iran and China. We have no business policing the Syrian government, no business placing the lives of our men and women in uniform in harm's way. Syrians are not our allies, they are not our friends, and they are not close to establishing a peaceful democracy. Using force to punish Assad for allegedly using chemical weapons is dangerous and expensive, and again, not our problem. Military force should be reserved to defend our land, and to help our allies. Let them figure out their own problems, so we can focus on ours.
