let teens drive to school with the proper permit and the consent of the high school ,DMV, and local law enforcement.

Created by A.W. on February 23, 2015

The average high school in California doesn't teach drivers education and without that it has become harder to get a license and the average drivers ed course costing over $400 makes that's an even bigger set back for a lot of high school students. With my proposal of students taking a written test approved by the local dmv, local high schools ,and law enforcement if the student passes both the written and driving test the student shall be granted permission to drive to and from school alone or with sibling with consent of the parent or guardian. The teen must have the permit for 6 months in order to obtain their license or reach the age of 18. This petition is targeted for teens ages 17-18 so they can get on the road and gain driving experience needed for the actual drivers license test.
