As a citizen of one of the other 49 states, districts, and/or territories of the United States of America that is not Texas, we ask you to let it secede.
Over the past 167 years Texas has caused the USA nothing but grief. According to Wikipedia, its annexation was an immediate cause of the Mexican-American war. It was one of the eleven states that seceded in the Civil War that tore this nation apart 150 years ago, leading to the death of our greatest president, Abraham Lincoln.
Furthermore, being in Dallas was a major cause of death for President John F. Kennedy, and President George W. Bush associates himself with it.
Nothing good has ever come from Texas being a state. That its citizens would sign a petition shows how unpatriotic they are.
I say let it secede!
